Explore the benefits of a Life Plan Community.

Life Plan Communities, sometimes referred to as Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs), provide a full continuum of experiences ranging from fully independent living residences to assisted living, long-term care, rehabilitation services, and memory care. This holistic approach recognizes that no two people experience aging in the same way and aims to support changes in health and capability with compassion and limited disruption. You never need to completely uproot your life because you or your spouse require higher levels of care or support.

According to the national Age Well Study, Life Plan Community residents report greater satisfaction with life, higher levels of physical activity, increased and more satisfying personal connections, better self-reported health, and fewer chronic conditions compared to demographically similar adults. As Atlanta’s first and only not-for-profit Life Plan Community internationally certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Lenbrook offers many benefits.

It’s a level of value and quality of experience that Lenbrook is proud to offer.

Plan with a parent.

Supporting the decision to move to a senior living community can be challenging. You want to provide loving assistance, just as you want assurance that your parent makes the best possible decisions for health and wellbeing, safety, and security. Most importantly, you want to help them enjoy a vibrant, independent life.

Lenbrook’s Resident Hospitality Committee is an active group ready to welcome new residents by assigning a “sponsor” to each new resident. This sponsor serves as an extension of the Lenbrook community and provides a more personalized introduction to the people and the lifestyle. There are a number of roles performed by the sponsor, which may include:

  • Arranging dinners or lunches with the new resident and other residents
  • Introducing a new resident to special events, classes, programs, or activities that may be of interest to the new resident
  • Conducting a walking tour to make sure the new resident knows how to navigate and where the important amenities are located
  • Providing helpful documents and resources to quickly get settled in
