I’m looking forward to making a change to a more simplified lifestyle but I am a bit concerned about having to get settled into a new community. How do new residents get acclimated into the Lenbrook community?
Recently, the Lenbrook Singers performed at our regular "Newcomer Party", where new residents are introduced and welcomed. The resident conductor introduced a song called "You will never walk alone" and stated that you'll always have someone beside you at Lenbrook! And, that is the spirit of the community! One way to get acquainted with the community as a new resident is through Lenbrook’s resident Hospitality Committee. This active group is on-ready to welcome new residents by assigning a "sponsor" to each new resident. This sponsor serves as an extension of the Lenbrook community and provides a more personalized introduction to the people and the lifestyle. There are a number of roles performed by the sponsor, which may include:
- Arrange dinners or lunches with the new resident and other residents,
- Introduce a new resident to special events, classes, programs or activities that may be of interest to the new resident,
- Conduct a walking tour to make sure the new resident knows how to navigate and where the important amenities are located
- Provide helpful documents and resources to quickly get settled in.
I’m likely to consider moving to Lenbrook someday, but I am not quite ready to reserve a residence now. How can I reserve a place for when I’m ready?

What levels of care does Lenbrook offer?
Lenbrook is a life plan community and provides exceptional living options for adults 62 years or older. Lenbrook provides residences with concierge-style living. But Lenbrook provides so much more. If a resident requires a little extra help or care, he may decide to bring additional services into his residences or he may consider a move to onsite assisted living suites or the health care center, a skilled nursing center, which features a beautiful setting and private rooms. This is an especially attractive environment in the event of a short-term health care event. A resident can recuperate in our Health Care Center, using eligible Medicare benefits or his generous 60-day health care benefit and then return back to his residence! Does Lenbrook have a Medicare-certified Health Care Center (skilled nursing center)?
Yes. Even though Lenbrook has been nationally accredited for over 20 years by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, Lenbrook wanted to offer its residents more – more value and more quality assurance. This new certification allows Lenbrook residents needing authorized, short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to draw upon their Medicare benefits to help cover costs. Lenbrook has earned exemplary ratings across the board and has recently been named a Five-Star Medicare Certified Skilled Nursing Center by the CMS. Lenbrook's Medicare certification and its long-standing national accreditation are just two of many tangible examples of our commitment to providing the very best in senior living—from independent living to the full continuum of senior health care—all in one warm, welcoming community.
If Lenbrook has a Medicare-certified Health Care Center (skilled nursing center), do I have priority access as a resident when I need it?
Absolutely! Lenbrook residents ALWAYS have priority, but when space permits, Lenbrook may accept local community members into its health care center and they can also draw upon their Medicare benefits for authorized services at Lenbrook. Accepting outside community residents during times of low occupancy generates new revenue to offset Lenbrook's fixed facility costs. This increased utilization and new revenue will help keep the Lenbrook community's costs down for current residents.
