On June 29, Terry Harth, former Chair of the Fulton County Residential Elderly Care Authority, presented Daniel Dornblaser, Lenbrook’s VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, with a framed print of the original bonds issued in 1982 for the construction of Lenbrook, the first Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Atlanta.

This year, Lenbrook, now home to more than 500 residents, celebrates its 35th anniversary. Mrs. Harth remarked: “When we issued those bonds so many years ago, it never occurred to me that one day I would have so many friends living at Lenbrook.”

Atlanta’s premier luxury senior community, located on Peachtree Road, was founded by Jack Clark, who wanted to provide a comfortable and secure home for his parents, Paul Asa and Maude Barrett Clark, where they would be able to age in comfort and style. In the early 1980s, he appeared before the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to request their approval and said: “If you do not approve these bonds, I cannot build Lenbrook, and I will have no suitable place for my parents to live.”

Today, Lenbrook, continues its tradition of quality as the premier Life Plan Community in Atlanta. It is nationally accredited by CARF, and offers one million square feet of living space, wellness, health care and amenities, including:

* 352 independent residences
