Louise is a Georgian through and through. So, when you meet her, you shouldn’t be surprised that she is truly a “peach.” She was born at Emory Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. She grew up in Rome, Georgia. She met her husband, Joe, while attending the University of Georgia in Athens. She raised her four beautiful daughters while living near Chastain Park.
Louise is a relatively new resident of Lenbrook. After spending the last decade or so living at Big Canoe in the North Georgia Mountains, she felt it was time for more secure living and to be closer to her kids. Lenbrook was her first and only choice. “Well, I’ve known about Lenbrook forever. My parents moved here when it first opened. I am so happy to be here! Even when I first moved in, I already knew several people! It turns out, one of them was my next-door neighbor from thirty years ago!”
Well, it may seem like a small world, but life at Lenbrook is going to be large for Louise Dodd. A bridge fanatic, she’s already involved in two weekly bridge games on site. She’s planning on using the indoor pool regularly and joining a book club. She frequents the various dining venues and relishes the food. And sometimes, she just grabs a meal downstairs and takes it up to her residence on the 16th floor. “I love my place. I was fortunate–and able to downsize easily. Everything worked out great.”
Years ago, Louise and her husband traveled all over Europe with favorite trips to France and Italy. But no matter where she visited, she always came back to the Georgia, she loves and now she has chosen to situate herself in Buckhead. When it comes to being an involved, energetic and upbeat Lenbrook resident, Louise Dodd is always on our mind.

Your biggest accomplishment…so far!
“Well, that would be my children, of course. I have four beautiful daughters, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Giving birth to my first daughter was probably the proudest moment of my life.”
The thing you love about Lenbrook the most.
“The convenience. The location is just perfect. Lenbrook puts me close to my children and grandchildren. Grocery shopping is right up the street. Everything is easy!”
Your favorite TV show?
“I watch ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ on Bravo. It’s crazy! But funny, neither my children nor I have ever run into any of them…!”
