Chris Keysor Promoted to President and CEO of Lenbrook; Becky Webster Retires

Tonya Bodie Promoted to CFO and Beth Richardson to VP of Operations-Health Services

ATLANTA (Jan. 22, 2014) – Lenbrook, a premier senior living community in Atlanta, has promoted Chris Keysor to the position of president and chief executive officer effective Jan. 1. Keysor has served as chief financial officer of Lenbrook since 2010, and was named president-elect last July when Becky Webster announced her plans to retire by the end of 2013.

Also as a part of this planned succession, Lenbrook has promoted Tonya Bodie from director of finance to chief financial officer and Beth Richardson from health care administrator to vice president of operations-health services.

“On behalf of my fellow directors, I would like to thank Becky for her exceptional leadership and remarkable achievements at Lenbrook,” said John Day, chairman of the board of Lenbrook. “I watched Becky take the helm of Lenbrook during a very pivotal time in early 2009. She soon brought Chris on board to join her senior management team and together they have successfully led Lenbrook through tough market conditions,” Day said. “During this time, Lenbrook has paid off $75 million in debt and is starting 2014 with a strong balance sheet and strong occupancy. We are grateful to Becky and wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement,” he said.

“We’re also pleased to welcome Chris, Tonya and Beth to their new roles and expanded responsibilities. Having served under Becky, their strategic vision and deep industry experience are the right combination for Lenbrook as it enters its fourth decade of excellence in senior living,” Day said.

Several other major milestones recently attained by Lenbrook include earning Medicare certification for its skilled nursing and rehabilitative health center and the celebration of the community’s 30th anniversary last year. Lenbrook is also the first and only continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Atlanta to achieve national accreditation by CARF-CCAC, which involves meeting more than 1,100 standards for operational excellence in continuing care retirement communities.

Keysor began his career as a certified public accountant in the healthcare and life sciences practices of KPMG Peat Marwick, progressing on to become a partner at BDO Seidman in Atlanta. He later became the national principal-in-charge of the senior living practice for LarsonAllen, the largest national accounting firm specializing in the senior living sector. He has also held senior management positions with CareLink Management Inc., a post-acute care subsidiary of a 1,500-bed hospital system, and with BB&T Capital Markets’ healthcare group. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor’s in accounting.

Tonya Bodie has over a dozen years of experience in senior living community finance and joined Lenbrook in 2012 as its director of finance from the Healthcare Capital Finance and Strategy Group of Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP. Dixon Hughes Goodman is the largest firm based in the south offering accounting, tax and advisory services to healthcare system and senior housing providers. Prior to that, she worked for BDO Seidman, another established accounting consulting firm with heavy emphasis on healthcare advisory services. She holds a bachelor’s in business administration with a major in finance from Georgia State University.

Beth Richardson joined the Lenbrook leadership team in June 2011 as its healthcare administrator, overseeing the full continuum of quality health care provided at Lenbrook, from the healthcare clinic to the specialized rehabilitative services, personal care, memory care and skilled nursing onsite at Lenbrook. Her career in senior healthcare services began as the administrator for Attic Angel CRCC and then as nursing home administrator for the Oakwood Lutheran Homes Association in Madison, Wisconsin. She is a licensed nursing home administrator and a certified aging services professional from the University of North Texas. She holds a bachelor’s in healthcare administration from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
