Gene Hayes and Jerry Warshaw Named to Lenbrook Board of Directors
Atlanta Executives Provide Strategic Guidance to Innovative Senior Living Community
ATLANTA, (Oct. 11, 2012) – Lenbrook, a leading senior living community in Buckhead, has named Atlanta executives Eugene A. Hayes III and Jerry D. Warshaw to its Board of Directors.
Gene Hayes is President of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, the organization responsible for raising funds to support Children’s – one of the country’s top pediatric healthcare systems, comprised of Egleston, Scottish Rite and Hughes Spalding hospitals, and 17 neighborhood locations. Hayes has been with Children’s since 1989.
Prior to Children’s, Hayes filled various leadership positions in the Trust Division at First National Bank of Atlanta, which later merged with Wachovia Bank, including the role of Senior Vice President, Charitable Trusts. Hayes is Board Chair of The Woodmark Group, a coalition of 25 leading children’s hospital foundations from across North America. He is active in the Atlanta community through Wieuca Road Baptist church and the Atlanta Rotary Club. He and his wife have one daughter.
Jerry Warshaw is Founder and President of Warshaw Properties, Inc., an Atlanta-based real estate development and management firm specializing in the apartment industry. During his more than 40 years in real estate, he has been actively involved in the planning, development, ownership and management of multi-family communities.
Warshaw has also served in numerous leadership positions throughout his career, including Chairman of the National Apartment Association, two terms as Chairman of the Georgia Real Estate Commission, President of the Georgia Apartment Association, President of the Atlanta Apartment Association, and two terms as President of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management. He also served as President of Private Housing ’96, the officially sanctioned Private Housing Coordinator for the 1996 Olympic Games.
In June 2012, Warshaw was named to the National Apartment Association’s Hall of Fame, becoming its 15th recipient in the NAA’s 73-year history. He, his wife and three sons are life-long Atlanta residents.
