Lenbrook Names John S. Day Chairman of its Board of Directors
Four New Board Members Also Appointed
ATLANTA, (Oct. 16, 2013) – Lenbrook, Atlanta’s first and only nationally accredited senior living community, has named John S. Day chairman of its board of directors. In addition, Lenbrook has appointed the following four new board members: Glen Jackson of Jackson Spalding, David H. Williams Jr. of Peck, Shaffer & Williams, Debbie Bishop of Guardian Home Health Services, and Daniel Dornblaser of Fifth Third Bank.
John Day brings 30 years of public accounting and executive management experience to Lenbrook having served as a partner with Arthur Andersen and a director at Deloitte & Touche during his career. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in economics and has a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard School of Business. A lifelong Atlanta resident, Day serves on several corporate boards including Invesco Mortgage Capital and Edens. Day has been a member of the Lenbrook board since 2007.
Glen Jackson is co-founder of Jackson Spalding, a top public relations firm in the southeast, which opened in midtown Atlanta in 1995. Jackson is a Leadership Georgia alum, a member of the Atlanta Rotary Club and a past chairman of the Atlanta Union Mission. He currently serves on the board of USO Georgia. A graduate of Washington & Lee University, Jackson presently serves on the university’s Business School Advisory Board.
David Williams Jr. is an attorney with the Atlanta law office of Peck, Shaffer & Williams and regularly provides bond and underwriting counsel on financings for senior housing facilities, hospitals and universities throughout the United States. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Georgia and a law degree from Mercer University School of Law.
Debbie Bishop, of Guardian Home Health Services, brings 25 years of healthcare industry experience to the Lenbrook board. She is a registered nurse and received her master’s degree in nursing administration and nursing education from Emory University. Her career also includes serving as administrator of The Windsor personal care home in Decatur Ga. and as a case manager for the Visiting Nurse Health System in Atlanta.
Daniel Dornblaser is vice president in the Middle Market Commercial Banking Group of Fifth Third Bank. Over his 30-year career, he has been responsible for developing portfolios for municipala/government entities, higher education and not-for-profit hospitals and senior living facilities. He previously held senior management and vice president positions with KBC Bank N.V. and National Westminster Bank PLC. Dornblaser is a finance graduate of Illinois State University.
