Lenbrook Scores Strong in Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) Assessment and Earns Reaccreditation for Five Years

Lenbrook, Atlanta’s premier in-town community for engaged senior living for more than 40 years, has earned reaccreditation for five years from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). It assesses how an organization compares against 1,400 business practice standards, including financial accountability and preparedness.

CARF® International, the accrediting body, is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. Through accreditation, CARF assists service providers in improving the quality of their services, demonstrating value and meeting internationally recognized organizational program standards.

CARF surveyors visited Lenbrook earlier this year to review business, financial and program processes and meet with management, front-line associates, board members, residents and their family members. Now, CARF has issued its findings in which Lenbrook scored a perfect 100 percent score in 11 out of 13 categories.

“CARF accreditation offers the chance to open ourselves up for outside review and gives our residents and their families the assurance that we are doing what we are supposed to do,” said Chris Keysor, President and CEO of Lenbrook. “There are just 78 CARF accredited Life Plan communities in the U.S., so we stand with a very unique and strong group. Having so many areas of strength in the assessment is a great honor and a testament to the steps we continually take to go above and beyond to achieve our mission.”

Since 1992, Lenbrook has earned the distinct designation as Atlanta’s only internationally accredited Life Plan Community (formerly known as Continuing Care Life Plan Community – CCRC). Lenbrook is one of just two CARF accredited Life Plan Communities in Georgia.
