Lenbrook Introduces Workforce Initiatives to Uphold Operational Excellence

As Lenbrook approaches its 40th anniversary, we are using our strategic priorities of community, workforce, hospitality and sustainability to position ourselves for the future to grow and uphold the Lenbrook level of excellence.

Lenbrook fosters a strong sense of community on its campus and to all its stakeholders. We value our associates as they are key contributors to the community. To ensure Lenbrook is the employer of choice for purpose-driven and engaged associates and continue to prepare for future growth, we have launched some exciting workforce initiatives this year which include:

  • Having fair and competitive compensation levels by committing to setting a base living wage and ensuring timely compensation studies for all positions.
  • Offering benefits that support mental and physical wellness. Just as Lenbrook supports residents as whole people, it gives the same opportunities and care to associates.

Lenbrook has always been focused on supporting associates’ growth within our organization, and these new initiatives create more pathways for internal advancement and professional growth and development.

Leading the way with these new initiatives is newly promoted Chief Operating Officer Felecia Sveda. Felecia has spent 17 years in service to Lenbrook, advancing from a successful sales and marketing professional to Vice President, Hospitality Services, her most recent position. Now, she is responsible for Lenbrook’s operations as they support all stakeholders of the community, including prospects, residents, and associates as well as family and guests.

As Felecia builds her team of all-stars, some outstanding associates can now grow and take on new roles to better support the needs of the community and its future growth.  One thing that sets Lenbrook apart is the people who lead it every day. That’s why we are continuing to build teams of mission-driven individuals dedicated to making life at Lenbrook the best it can be. They create the top-of-the-line service and experiences for Lenbrook residents, so we are staying focused on hiring and developing strong teams.

Felecia is also focused on creating a team of support resources to support the entire community such as the LIVE department of supportive services, a strengthened Human Resources team, internal communications to strengthen engagement and a new quality and performance improvement team led by Kelley Bennett. This department will be solely focused on identifying areas where Lenbrook can improve operations and instill a mindset of continuous improvement.

To further strengthen Lenbrook’s culture, Lenbrook’s Human Resources department introduced new versions of the RITE Rewards program and Lenbrook University. The RITE Rewards program helps reinforce and reward associates who practice The Lenbrook Way hospitality pillars and RITE (Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence) values while on the job. Lenbrook University offers a unique training and development program that aims to successfully onboard associates with all the information they need to be successful and feel at home the moment they join the team.  Lenbrook University is rooted in creating connections among associates, ensuring competence with training and development and further embedding and instilling our culture in everything we do.

Approaching 40 years of growth and success, Lenbrook is committed to providing the best quality and services to residents and desirable career opportunities in an excellent environment to associates. This focus on growth and preparing for the future is why we are aligning our operational structure and continuing to invest in our associates. Here’s to the next 40 years!
