Evolving with Purpose: Lenbrook Updates Mission Statement
Since 1984, Lenbrook has been a sought-after senior living community where residents and associates connect, develop meaningful relationships, and pursue their best lives. It has a strong legacy of quality and purpose rooted in respect, integrity, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Lenbrook’s 40th anniversary provided the opportunity to reflect on our past as we look forward to the future. For more than a year, the Lenbrook Management Team, Board of Directors, Residents, and Associates at every level worked together in visioning sessions to update the mission statement, which had guided the community for more than a decade.
“This updated mission doesn’t change our purpose. It clarifies it,” said Felecia Sveda, Chief Operating Officer. “We wanted everyone to see themselves as vital members who benefit from and contribute to the community’s success.”
Lenbrook’s new mission is:
“We engage together every day, nurturing an exceptional community where individuals can pursue connection, well-being, and fulfillment.”
Each carefully chosen word is an invitation to participate in something meaningful and purpose-driven every day.
“We engage together every day” -Lenbrook operates through a shared commitment of resident-inspired, management-led, and associate-championed. This phrase emphasizes that everyone plays a role daily, and collaboration is vital to achieving the mission.
“nurturing” – Reflects the care and intention people bring to helping the community thrive.
“an exceptional community” – Exceptional represents Lenbrook’s vision to be the Southeast’s most desirable senior living community and the standards it upholds to achieve that goal. Community is core to Lenbrook’s identity, made up of vibrant, unique people who share common goals and values. It includes families, visitors, and anyone who interacts with Lenbrook.
“where individuals” – Individuals represent the unique threads of Lenbrook’s community tapestry – residents, associates, management, board members, and family members, each with a journey, story, and value. These diverse experiences enrich the community, and Lenbrook embraces individual needs, desires, and contributions.
“can pursue connection, well-being, and fulfillment” – Can pursue expresses possibility and empowerment. Lenbrook is a place where people can discover what matters most to them and decide whether to pursue it, which is reflected in the “Here you can” brand promise.
