Oh, the Places You Can Go at Lenbrook! Activities and Excursions Offer Growth and Connection
Engaged, curious, and connected. These are a few of the words that describe residents who take advantage of the experiences and connections that Lenbrook’s active lifestyle offers. Some residents enjoy exploring the community, while others appreciate the variety of on-site activities or engaging in stimulating conversations with neighbors over a savory meal.
For over 40 years, Lenbrook has helped residents discover new experiences, foster meaningful connections, and pursue the lifestyle they envision. From art and fitness classes to friendly croquet competitions, hobby group gatherings, music performances, and excursions to local gardens, landmarks, and museums, Lenbrook offers a diverse range of activities.
Recently, some residents enjoyed the camaraderie of traveling with friends on a three-day trip to Savannah, Georgia, in the comfort of the new Lenbrook bus. Lenbrook collaborated with the Excursion Committee and the Enrichment Team to understand the preferences and requirements residents had for the bus.
“Residents gave valuable suggestions regarding interior colors and window shades, and we implemented those,” said Stephen West, Vice President of Community Life. “They love the smooth ride and comfortable seating the new bus offers.”
The trip was filled with history, cuisine, and coastal charm. Residents took a trolley tour through historic districts, shopped along scenic River Street, and dined at Rhett, a southern-inspired restaurant. They also visited the Georgia Historical Society, Tybee Island, and the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum.
Another overnight excursion is planned in December to visit the Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens, President Roosevelt’s Little White House in Warm Springs, and the Callaway mansion at Hills and Dales in LaGrange.
These fun trips and the variety of on-site activities are a few of the ways Lenbrook creates fun experiences for residents to stay engaged, curious, and connected.
