Cassandra Manley,

Cassandra Manley is a Resident Leader at Lenbrook. She moved to Lenbrook in 2021 based on friends’ enthusiastic recommendations, as well as for the location, reputation, and continuum of care.

Her favorite quote is “Do Something,” and her life reflects that. She held leadership positions with the International Association of Culinary Professionals Culinary Guild, the Houston Food Bank, the Highlands Cashiers Hospital Foundation, the Chattooga Club Dining Committee, Good Shepherd Church, Village Green in Cashiers, Share Our Strength, the End Hunger Network, and the Designer Show House in Cashiers. At Lenbrook, she served as the croquet ambassador and was a member of the Dining Services Committee for three years.

Cassandra grew up in Augusta, Georgia. She attended Sullins College in Bristol for two years and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She and her husband lived in Houston, Texas, for many years where she taught cooking and was a food writer and restaurant critic for regional magazines. They also had a house in Cashiers, North Carolina. Cassandra enjoys dog training, weaving, pottery, painting, needlepoint, and reading.
