Lynn Sokler has more than four decades of experience providing strategic communication and developing clear, effective messaging for complex initiatives, crisis management, and risk communication. She has worked in advertising and public relations agencies, corporations, and nonprofit organizations.
She worked for almost 20 years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she served as the Senior Communication Advisor in the Office of the Director. She was instrumental in the success of the CDC’s monthly scientific report, which is translated into clear consumer language to highlight critical health threats and actionable solutions. She also directed large public education campaigns addressing urgent health threats. Her strategic guidance and innovative communication approaches helped teams deliver vital, timely information to the public during high-risk situations.
She was named one of the Top 50 Public Relations Professionals in Health Care Agencies and earned several prestigious honors, including a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary’s Pick for Innovation. Lynn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the University of Florida.
