Four years ago when my wife Mary Ann and I moved to Lenbrook, little did I know that my medical background and work for the CDC would provide a valuable perspective to our new community. While I’m not an infectious disease doctor, I spent 30 years with the CDC as the Director of Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities. Currently, I’m a faculty member at Emory University and I welcome the opportunity to assist with our community’s preparedness and response to the COVID-19 threat.
“It all started with this email that we received from one of our Lenbrook neighbors,” notes Richard Conway, President of Lenbrook’s Residents Association.
“I sent a check to Chris Keysor, Lenbrook President and CEO, and asked him to use it as a thank you gift to Lenbrook Associates who are taking such good care of us, sometimes even at a risk to themselves and their families and also to help a little with any financial needs. This made me feel good and I hope you will find out for yourself how good it feels!”
Right now, in the middle of the global pandemic, it is an honor for me to be on the frontline as part of Lenbrook’s COVID-19 Task Force. Together, we help design and implement the large and small policies and procedures that are put in place to keep our 500 residents and 250+ associates as safe as possible.
Today and every day, the health and safety of Lenbrook’s community is our first priority.
As VP of Lenbrook’s Health Services and member of our COVID-19 Task Force, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you what steps we are taking together as we face today’s healthcare crisis. Only when we work together as one team – residents, family members, associates, vendors partners and management team – are we able to help prevent and mitigate the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
How do you really know how financially strong the place you will call home really is? How does its financial strength impact you?
These are very important questions – especially for prospective Lenbrook residents (and their loved ones) who have invested a lot of time downsizing, determining geographically where they want to live, touring various Life Plan Communities, and evaluating their various offerings.
